It makes no sense to me why front-load washers aren't constructed with more anchor points holding the wash basin on to the back, they always fail after a few years

Best points hotels in Paris and French Riviera? Have a combination of Marriott and Hyatt points - looking to stop in both places. Probably have enough of each to do one chain in each location - will probably be 5 nights in Paris and 2-3 staying in Cannes.

I am a junior associate (CO 21) doing a divisive merger for a small client with assets in the $1mm range. Partner is non existent and non responsive to emails. At what point do you just send the CYA memo yourself to protect yourself, or discuss with another partner?

Am I demoting myself or putting a disadvantage if I ask to be put off on a project? I’m on a project that my manager is very micromanaging and points every mistake and nuances I make in front of everyone. I fear this is deteriorating my trust and my status in the team and a chance for promotion.

EL insists on team staying at same hotel as them. They chose the hotel based off having status there. I'd prefer to stay at another hotel chain (5 minute walk away) as I have status there and my points go further when I do personal travel. How would you navigate this? Cost is the same

This question might anger some, but not meant to be provoking. Does anyone else feel that half the jobs in tech (scrum master, project manager, product manager, etc.) are more hindering than helpful? I feel like productivity would sky rocket if we didn’t have 10+ hours a week added of admin work/agile ceremonies/status meetings, and you just let developers and analysts do their job. Why are we spending hours learning how to estimate story points (for example) rather than improving production?

Has anyone used a market research company successfully for start ups? I’m trying to find some specific data points to quantify a pain point and hoping to leverage an external company to help in the interest of time. Coming from big companies, I know some of the big ones but curious if there are any small and nimble agencies that do cost effective market research work for start ups that you’ve liked? Staying in a major city at a Hyatt. Since Sunday check in to now, they’ve had issues with their hot water and the shower just barely gets warm enough to shower. Does not get hot and steam. Have to get in and out quick since it’s not comfortable. Switching rooms doesn’t help. It’s a whole building issue. I’m Titanium Marriott but nothing with hyatt. How many points can I request as compensation? Stay is about $200/night total Sunday- Thursday so I think $800-900 total

I have received an offer from a Big4.
In my resume I have mentioned my last role with EY (Senior) and true total tenure with EY (2018-2021) and have mentioned my promotion dates in bullet points but I have not mentioned that I started as an analyst (assuming it was self explanatory). What do I do now ?
The title goes as EY- Senior - (2018-2021) and the first bullet point mentions the date of promotions.
Am I in trouble ?

I know, it may sound very unpopular here. I personally think, WFH should not be a permanent solution. May be hybrid; but not complete WFH.

In most cases, collaboration is required. And that's the key we are lagging. If we could do complete WFH, 'on-sites' were not required at all.

I can remember my early days in IT where I was able to learn from my team leads and other team members. If I need to start as a fresher now, I'll definitely miss that option.
