It gets even sadder when you can’t even handle the THOUGHT of working past 6pm.

Coherent thoughts get harder, every step in your workflow gets slower as the hours drag on..as you kill yourself for your work.

Absolutely HATE working late into the night.

It’s workplace water torture.

If I ran a successful ad agency, my policy would be “go home, get rest, nobody is dying. Where you leave off today, pick it back up tomorrow.”

It would be emblazoned on a large colorful mural behind reception.

Any client that doesn’t like it can head on right back out.

15 YOE, recently started my first tech PR job at a large, stable company & have been asked to get ~20 SMEs in front of media. Subject matter is not sexy. I lead PR for all of U.S. & have no other PR colleagues. My agency’s budget is 100k/year & they’re spread too thin to hit their KPIs. I feel set up to fail & feel we should be focusing on a handful of SMEs and only our sexiest topics. Any advice on mitigating unrealistic expectations for coverage? Anyone handled similar problems in the past?

What is the difference between a Software Engineer I and II? When do you know you're ready to leave your first great SE job? Is there a way to get more money without leaving? I've been at my current company for maybe and year and a half but I'm not sure if I'm good enough to leave yet. My manager always says I'm doing well and I got promoted from SE I to SE II a few months back. I'm not sure if it's imposter syndrome or not but I just don't feel confident about interviewing at other places
