Have an interview at M level with an MD that was, and still is to an extent adversarial to my client. Do I still take the interview or do I decline?

Hey guys, I’ve recently started interviewing for a position outside my firm. I was wondering who makes the decision to hire? Is it the interviewers (MD’s, VP’s, analysts) or is it the recruiter that reached out to me who gets the final say? I’m crushing it with the directors, Vp’s but not really talking too much sith the recruiter. Please help

Have had 3 rounds (Partner, MD, Partner) with PwC. Is it reasonable to assume it's now decision time or am I to expect additional rounds of interviews?

Had second interview with MD and don’t think I did well 😔 at least it’s Friday and can drink away sorrows

Hi everyone, I kindly ask for suggestions here. I was been referred by my friend to financial service tax in EY.After a call with the MD, he said that my background doesn’t align with theirs because they usually hire Staff1 from campus recruiting, they don’t hire Staff2 and I’m not qualified for Senior1. I am a staff accountant in a local public accounting firm for two and a half years with CPA. Im having a interview with EY recruiter soon! Any suggestions on tax lines? Or tips for interview?

Currently interviewing for a in-house strategy role, had a case interview and behavioural with a manager and two SMs in the team Now I have two more interviews with the directors in the team, and then if successful with the MD. What exactly are these interviews about? Is it just more behavioural questions?

Guess a con. firm: Went through the HR screen, three case studies/tests, three interviews with leadership (eg dir/par/vp/md) got a call from HR straight after the final one saying they have excellent feedback and they want to progress to make me an offer but need to get approvals and find me the right team, ghosted me for more than a month after which I chased recruiter who says that they unfortunately won't be coming with an offer with some bs about not being able to find me the right team.

Can I disclose a public sector client if it's public knowledge to an interviewer? As in our contract was published and reported on, is it ok for me to say I work on it? Also the project is a covid project and pretty obvious to connect the dots if I describe my work. Been through 5 rounds with an investment bank without disclosing and have a final interview with an MD.

An MD in my firm is an alumnus of a T10 and willing to write a letter of support for me and submit to adcoms. He says he knows the head of something at the business school, likely the current head of admissions or a previous head of admissions who is now head of something else at the bschool. Have an interview setup at a bank tomorrow however just got to know that one of the interviewers is an MD at Deloitte. Should I ask the HR to reassign an FTE as an interviewer?

I am so mentally checked out from Deloitte, mainly due to the combination of the low pay & demanding MD/Client. Have a few interviews ongoing but no offer yet. I am concerned that this anxiety will take a toll at me. Now I am interviewing with a consultant next week. I’m worried that I’m probably being marked as “low priority candidate.” Am I over reacting?
