"global process transformation architect" makes 100% sense to me. Process transformation projects are super fun!
After 20 years in tech I am astonished by the overuse of “Architect” and vast amount self-proclaimed “experts” I have the daily displeasure to work with. Most times, the title does not fit their ability or quality/level of level of work being produced. VP or Director is another one - especially when they are an IC with no team. Even my role as a SPM, the “senior” just means I have been doing this role for too long and have earned my cynicism and bitterness.
What? Lol. That's at least interesting enough for me to have to look it up. I now know what it is, but it sounds super made up!
"Chief _______ Officer". Insert the most ludicrous noun you can think of and it's almost guaranteed to be a real thing.
The same thing happened to me in my last job after I was critical of management to one of the family at an awards do (which we won because of my work). The PIP happened the following week just before Christmas and lasted all of one day. Turns out it’s a company habit of getting rid of people who don’t fit ‘the cult’ just shy of two years when they can’t go to an employment tribunal. I was glad to take the salary (and bonus) and get out pdq.
Is he a friend of George Costanza ?
Chief
I bet his LinkedIn title is Thought Leader or some other nonsense.
