I never realized how much of a difference it makes to add those extra minutes as overtime when calls go past my shift end. Working in customer service, sometimes a call that comes in right at the end of my shift runs 5–10 minutes over. I recently started logging that time as OT, and honestly, it adds up. I’ve even seen about an extra $100 on my paycheck. Now I’m just wondering why I didn’t start doing this sooner 😅

This is why I love working on a hourly position. I love getting the extra money on my overtime. I mean we do deserve it after all. We work hard for that overtime. Yes, my company has a similar policy style as well.

Yes! I put my overtime pay in a separate bank account and consider that my fun money for travel, shopping, whatever. It's amazing how fast it can add up.
