I was so excited about copilot transcriptions and meeting recaps when they first came out but have found them to not be very helpful, sometimes laughably wrong. Have you found them to be very useful or accurate?

No, we tried them and our experience was pretty much the same as yours. I've also fed things into other AI tools to generate summaries, and the results can be pretty mixed. What worries me is that people are going to rely on some of this AI generated stuff, and records may be created incorporating some of it. It could be a nightmare years from now if someone has to refer to something and they can't figure out what was real and what was AI slop.

Very true. Sometimes my coworkers send these recaps out without reading them and it causes so much confusion. It’s almost like they’re notes from someone who wasn’t even in the meeting. Sometimes, however, they work great and actually are pretty helpful. I’m sure a lot has to do with how accurate the transcription is.

Just today, I was in a meeting where copilot recaps literally said the opposite of what was discussed. We all agreed to on a specific task as the next step and copilot said we all agreed not to do that. It’s kind of annoying when people who didn’t attend see that and it creates a confusion.

Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise
