I think this is pretty normal when it comes to a poor economy. People are less likely to take risks and make big moves when the cost of doing so is more significant. I'm not sure if it's rising costs or just a bad job market, but it's definitely a lot scarier to make major changes these days.

I think that instinct is completely natural. When the economy feels uncertain and living costs are high, stability starts to look a lot more valuable. I still believe in calculated risks, but the bar for taking them definitely becomes higher.
