I am currently looking for a remote position as I want to move out of retail banking. I don't have a set timeline. I don't mind cold calling & I have excellent customer service skills. I also have experience managing a team fiduciary accounts and small business banking.
I currently have my SIE, 6, 63, Life & Health.
All role recommendations would help!
Thoughts on the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Associate Role? Is this a path to FA through MS? Has anyone heard anything about this position? Pros and Cons?
When hiring an associate or junior advisor, does anyone have any input as to how to structure pay to be competitive but not so much of a salary that they’re not hungry?
How many years does the typical paraplanning role last before transitioning to a servicing advisor? Current firm initially stated 2 years during interview process, since joining have heard them say anywhere from 3-5 years. Had about 2 YOE before joining.
Am I dumb for wanting to move into wealth advisory (being miserable in my current position) just a a recession is around the corner? In other words, I feel like these positions are more sensitive to recessions and I will be the first in line as I bring the least amount of value given my lack of experience.
Anyone know how much does Financial Advisor Associate make at Morgan Stanley? I’m seeing 71k base + 51k additional pay. I was offered a FAA position but right now but I just started as a Relationship banker at Chase 2 months ago. I’m in the process of getting my licenses at chase( series 6,63 and life and health). I just passed my SIE. Any advice would be much appreciated!
How many people have actually pivoted from RB role to wealth management private banker ? I just started my role as a RB and feels like I’m already regretting it lol. I worked at Morgan Stanley as CSA for 2 yrs and I def like client servicing more than retail banking lol at the moment I’m getting my license SIE, series 6 and series 63.
Anyone else still waiting to hear back from Citibank Wealth Management about a position you interviewed for a month and half ago?
Anyone here work in an assistant-type role? I am a registered sales assistant so I have my series 7, and I also have the 63 and my life & health license. I was an advisor but I’m a career changer so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn, etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k… I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but its tough to find comparable salaries. What are your thoughts? Any advice?
Anyone on here work at Facet Wealth? Sitting for CFP in Nov and came across a planner role that seems appealing on the surface. Would appreciate any thoughts from anyone who works/worked there. Feel free to DM.
UBS I am going through the interview process with UBS. I applied for a financial advising position. I have had three interviews, completed the background check, and they asked me about my termination from last job, fired from mortgage company due to mortgage rates increasing. Last contact was a week ago. Since my first interview it’s been about a month and a half. Is this normal for their hiring process? Is this a good or bad sign?
How much should a series 24 holder make yearly? And is it easy to find a job once you get that license? I want to move into a leadership position as fast as possible
I’m an associate in wealth management. I didn’t get a compensation increase when I got this position (moved from a different department 65k) and today I had the weirdest call with one of the higher ups. He essentially told me my title had changed officially in HR ok thanks bye… and I was left there like ????? What about the salary adjustment? I am so tired of getting taken advantage of because I’m not a negotiator guru. If you work in wealth management as an associate what is your salary?
Hi! I have an interview for the role of financial consultant/financial planning and analysis @ computershare.. please share words of advise for me please... This is the highest role I have ever interview for.. I am currently a credit analyst! Any tips help. Thank you in advance.
Has anyone worked for GW&K? I have an interview today for a client service associate role. Any opinions on the company? Ideally id like for the role to lead to an advisory position
I am a year into a financial advisor training program. I am currently in the first tier. Feeling burnt out, and had a massive change in my home life. My husband was just promoted to a global position at a major oil company that requires weekly travel. We have decided that my quitting is the best course of action. I am on a team- what is the protocol for client facing positions? Do you give 2 weeks notice? Will they ask me to reimburse any training expenses? I appreciate any insight.
How long does it take to hear back from fidelity after final interview for a entry level position? Fidelity Investments
I recently accepted a position from BoA in the “financial advisor trainee program.” I will be able to get my Series 7 and Series 66. I live in SF Bay Area and this is my first position at a bank. The pay is 60k while getting licenses (4 months) and it will go up to 65k + quarterly bonuses. I have an undergrad in International business and recent grad with my MBA. I have 3 years experience in sales. Is this a good offer? How much to expect from quarterly bonuses at BoA? Any advice on the position?
Currently I’m at JP Morgan as a RB , getting my SIE, 6 and 63 but I just found out I’m unable to get the Series 7 unless the role requires it. I like that Fidelity has some positions are WFH. My question is should I stay with JP Morgan for a year ( don’t have to pay back my licenses) or just apply Financial Service Rep as Fidelity sponsors Series 7, 63 and CFP. I’ll be taking a pay cut Currently 73k salary including incentive at JP and Financial Rep at Fidelity 50-60k salary.

I have been in the industry for 6 yrs now. I have been offered a position with Fidelity as a PC. Currently an advisor in the bank channel. Anyone have advice on moving into this role?
I am a licensed private banker in the Pittsburgh area- series 6/63. 34 yrs old, changed careers 2.5 years ago. I would like to eventually move into an FA role. I am curious to hear if there are firms or banks in the area or surrounding areas that hire associates to partner with experienced FAs that eventually go on to build their own book of business. I am a fast learner, not afraid to work hard. I've heard of banks that support these partnerships but do not see many job postings.
I had someone reach out to me from Schwab. Anyone have any details on an associate wealth advisor role? Thank you!
Any United Capital advisors in here? how has it been under GS? any movement up to the PWM segment (ie $10mm+) or is it still really divided?
I’m 25 in a senior advisor role with a book of ~$30mm currently. thinking about moving to a 2 year RM training role but wondering about upside after that. I currently make $90k base with 25% rev first year and 15% after, I’d like to just make as much money as possible but don’t know whether to stay or go
I'm looking to become a financial advisor down the road.
I have my SIE, S7, and S63. Have an interview as a Investment Solutions rep at Fidelity Investments. Can anybody shed some light on what the position is like as well as likes/dislikes of Fidelity?
Does anyone have insight on how Wells Fargo premier bankers are and would you recommend the job over a morgan stanley Wealth advisor associate role?
Would anyone happen to have more information about the Investment Center ADFA, Remote Financial Advisor position w/PNC? I am most interested in the base salary/commission structure. I am in a licensed banker role right now and trying to feel out if this would be a good way to work into PNC Investments in lieu of a traditional branch Financial Advisor position. My thought is this could be a decent way to build a foundation of clients and then transition to a branch role.
Have my 6 month review coming up - how do I politely speak to my mind to my bosses about role not being what it was advertised as? Pretty much just moving things around on PowerPoint for meeting preparation (have prior experience leading client meetings, but have yet to even have the opportunity to sit in on one at new firm). No matter how hard I push for on the job learning opportunities, they have been negligible. Is it better to be blunt vs quiet quitting or actually quitting?
I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!
I currently work for a private automotive services company with a little over 6,000 employees. I am in the treasury department working as a analyst and I am thinking of joining Fp & a as a financial analyst. I like the position/team but I am underpaid. I have nearly two years of experience in Treasury and I have a Mba in management from a smaller university. I wanted to know how much I should be compensated and if it is a wise move to go to FP & A. Also, the position is located in South Jersey.
Is the hiring slowdown over? I contacted a few firms to inquire about lateral opportunities in late June/early July and was asked to check back in the fall due to hiring freezes. I wonder if I should reach back out or if it's too soon. The news about Skadden's staff layoffs this morning makes me think it's too soon.

All these recent posts on cheating and lack of sex/ spark in long term relationships and marriages has really got me shook (perhaps I need a break from FB). As someone who was cheated on in a past relationship it has taken me a long time to realize that “not all men cheat,” and I’m still working through it. The last few days on here have been a major setback so much so that I even shared this with my SO (who had been hurt by my previous mindset that you can’t ever 100% tr
