Since he is getting underpaid a lot ... Hopefully someone can refer him Adobe or some product companies. Even service company with good pay also is acceptable

Why would you ever try to break up jet lag like this, you would basically just be tired for 2 weeks straight with this
Straight to Asia. Sleep on the plain or force yourself to stay up until it's a reasonable night time hour at your destination. Then the jetlag will be gone.
There are lots of ways to make it work. My well travelled friends tell me going west rather than east is easier. Also having a lie-flat seat can be a real solution as well. Im taking a 12-hour flight in ten days, but north to south, so I’m just going to stay awake and crash when we arrive in Sao Paulo at 2AM. In January, I’m flying 16 hours from Mexico to Japan leaving at 9:30pm, crossing the International Date Line and arriving at 6:30 am two days later. My plan is to stay awake as late as i can and then try to get 8 hours of sleep a couple hours before we land. This plan has failure written all over it because I usually sleep 6-1/2 hours a night in my own bed. I will be a zombie on day one in Japan.
Update. When I landed in Japan, I chugged 2 cups of coffee and then met a friend to spend the day in a series of hot baths at a Tokyo onsen spa. Best jet lag cure ever.
Once and done.
I should clarify that the goal wasn’t all about jetlag. There’s also interest in checking out the connecting city in Europe as opposed to just staying in the airport for an hour and leaving.
So was more about whether to avoid doing that and save the Euro city for a separate trip or ok to do it.
Personally, I’d save it for a separate trip focused on it.
I tend to prefer your first option, which is breaking up the trip into two segments. Mainly because that way I get to explore a third place for a bit.
nice, u should extend Europe since u there anyway lol, but I did hear some say 2 days is enough for some cities
