I would love if they did this in the U.S. I am so tired of having several good rounds and then getting compltetely ghosted. It doesn't take longer than a few minutes to let someone know they aren't getting a role.
I'm located in the US and I work for a Canadian based company. However this won't change my workload. I already follow up with all my candidates. The amount of people who apply and don't return a phone call, respond to a text or even an email is extremely high and has been for years. As much as people claim they are ghosted by recruiters we are just as ghosted by candidates as well. It's a 2way street you want a job answer your phone or return a call stop blaming everyone else and do some follow through.
That’s such an interesting point, on one hand, it would definitely create more work for recruiters and HR teams, but on the other hand, it could build stronger trust and transparency with candidates.
