Ok, planning my Black Friday purchases. I'm looking at having to travel internationally for the first time this year. Looking at TravelPro, they have the Platinum® Elite 20” Carry-On Expandable Business Plus Spinner which is listed in the 18-20" international Carry-On vs. the Travelpro® Platinum® Elite 21” Expandable Carry-On Spinner that I'm using today for domestic travel... Do I really need a 1" smaller bag for international carry-on?

Have lifetime Bonvoy gold elite, no longer traveling much and won’t be able to hit platinum each year. Expect to travel 15-20 nights a year, should I go the CC and spend route to get to lifetime platinum or switch to Hyatt and aim for their explorist status to get better value for the same low status?

Just did an awesome redemption and want to share. 250K Aeroplan points (transferred from Amex), 115K hyatt points, and 100K bonvoy points.

Air Canada Biz from Toronto to Athens and from Milan back to New York

4 nights in Paros, 4 nights in Milan. Both at high category 5 stars.

Total dollar value of the trip is about $23K

Was also able to prove to my SO that my points obsession is worth it!

Looking for advice — new to travel: Hilton or Marriott?

What have y'all done with cards after you got the sign-up bonus, but it just wasn't worth spending more on the card? A few months ago, I cancelled my Marriot Bonvoy card because Bonvoy points are worthless compared to airline points on other cards. Any reason I should have kept it?

I have the Star alliance Gold status. I have international travel coming up through Turkish airlines. Can someone tell me how much excess baggage ( check in ) will I be allowed if I have Star alliance Gold status? I tried calling Turkish twice and both times I got different responses. Their website doesn’t really specify anything. Turkish’s Elite status is equivalent to Star alliance gold and allows 20kg additional/ 1 extra bag.
