Does anyone work in an area with lots of exterior environmental noise (traffic, concerts, trains, etc.) and have tips for not becoming overwhelmed and/or distracted by it? I’m an LCSW with 7 years experience. Currently working as an EAP consultant for an insurance company from home. The pay is good but I hate being on a call queue and the schedule is SO rigid. As a working mom I’m wondering if there are other options for remote WFH positions in insurance out there that don’t require being in a call queue and having supervisors monitoring every single second of your day? My parent ended up in Lenox Hill emergency room and then admitted. We need a surgery for broken leg. The service at Lenox Hill hospital is not good. I requested hospital transfer but Lenox Hill refused to transfer my parent to NYP/Cornell. They said they can discharge us to rehab or home (home is apparently against medical advice now). How can I leave this place and go to NYP/Cornell? Ask for discharge and transportation home and then from there call 911 and ask to be taken to NYP/Cornell?🙏🏻
