Did BCW NY just layoff it’s EA staff?! Seeing a bunch of these names on Connect and very upset that great people were let go!
i just had an excellent review with my supervisors. we are aligned i am ready to be promoted. i will be moving from project manager to senior project manager. the catch; my company has laid off 75% of its staff, and cut our salaries by 25%.timing is unclear, since we work in the live entertainment space. what is fair to ask for?i have 7 years work force experience, am the only one in my position, touch every creative deliverable the agency makes, and updated and streamlined 10+ processes.
Extremely hypothetical question: from 0 to 10. What’s the possibility of a Big4 staff employee getting fired for having an OnlyFans account? That staff salary is not gonna pay for them bills........
Coach
Seeing all these “got laid off” posts and I’m honestly surprised. Which firms are laying people off? Thought every firm had staff shortages.
How badly do you have to screw up at a big 4 as a manager to be fired? I've heard of pips at staff/senior level. Would you get put on one at a manager level first or just get fired?
Has AFS fired staff during the pandemic and are they continuing to do so?
My coworker just got fired the day after 10/15. She was fired for “poor performance” but we believe she was actually fired for reporting a senior to HR for harassing another tax staff. Cont...
How bad are the staff layoffs at KPMG and Accenture? And the PWC partner layoffs?
Why isn’t there a public accountants union? At least even at the staff level. These layoffs were handled like a group of unchecked overlords are expected to.
How are the responsibilities of a senior consultant differ from that of a staff consultant at EY? For some context, I received an offer at EY at the senior consultant level, but I was a consultant at Deloitte (before getting laid off due to COVID). Any perspective from EY / Deloitte colleagues would be very helpful. Thanks!
Are people honest with their reviews for staff? My assistant only supports me and someone else so I feel like if I go off, it’ll be obvious it’s from me and I’ll have to face repercussions from her. It sounds ridiculous but as most of you know, apparently being incompetent as an assistant is not enough to get fired.
Public accounting firms that are hiring tax compliance staff/associates? Haven’t been laid off yet but the writing is on the wall
Left my consulting job after 2.25 years in October 2019 for a venture backed startup. Laid off in March 2020. Joined a VC fund as an intern shorty after, but our fundraise (for our fund) got pushed back. I was approached about helping grow a small executive recruitment firm focused on private technology companies. I’ll be chief of staff. The company takes $150k/placement + equity. The co expects to hit $1m in rev this year. They also invest in startups. Should I do it? Is this pigeonholing?

Looking for referrals from kind internet strangers for my husband whose 60 days starts today. He is a principal software engineer with RSA which was a part of Dell until a week ago. Dell sold the company to a private equity firm that laid off 90% of all US staff.YOE - 9+ development including 2+ as a technical managerSkills - Javascript, ember, angular, node, html, css and dockerRoles - principal front end engineer or engineering managerRequires H-1B transfer and open to relocation
Started working a week after graduating last May. Was on track to be one of the top staff performers and then COVID hit. Since working from home I am one of the lowest performers. Anxiety and stress are crippling my ability to succeed. I have social anxiety which makes wfh communication extremely difficult. Managers - how much patience would you have with someone who was doing well pre-pandemic but has been struggling ever since? Should I start planning for a new job? (In case I get fired)
Is the hiring slowdown over? I contacted a few firms to inquire about lateral opportunities in late June/early July and was asked to check back in the fall due to hiring freezes. I wonder if I should reach back out or if it's too soon. The news about Skadden's staff layoffs this morning makes me think it's too soon.
Droga layoffs 7% of staff in US. So much for the Accenture buyout.
Just found out a few senior managers are being laid off. We just hired a couple new seniors and staffs, how worried should I be as a staff?
Many firms that reduced salaries seem to be reversing that decision recently. But, is anyone slow and thinking layoffs may happen in the fall? Do you think staff who now are mostly sitting at home not working may be the first to go? Looks like we won’t all be back in the office until spring ..

Over the last few months I’ve seen a lot of staff/seniors quit and move to other jobs. Is this normal for this time? I feel like everyone I know is worried about not being laid off but here I see people dropping like flies. What’s going on? Side note if you are in audit and need a job contact me. 😂
If you believe The NY Times, PLEASE stop accepting low ball offers (staff and freelance) and agreeing to significant salary reductions going forward. Only those in the c-suite benefit, not any1 else https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/29/business/economy/ceo-pay-pandemic-layoffs.html?action=click&module=News&pgtype=Homepage
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
I’m so beat. My agency leadership signed up to do the impossible for my client, put me on the hook to deliver it, and everyone who was there for the pitch-promises have run for the hills and are nowhere to be seen while I’m here holding the bag and struggling to deliver on the smoke and mirrors they sold. Key staff were laid off. I feel abandoned and overwhelmed. It’s tempting to just let it all fail except then I know everyone would point to me. But still, tempting.
I've been laid off from D. I'm seeking a similar role, "Resource Manager" or "Engagement Staffing Manager". To summarize, the role entails working with business managers to help fill open roles, providing available staff, and forecasts, etc.; and working with practitioners as they near or land on the bench. Do other consulting firms, such as EY, PWC, Accenture, etc. have such positions? If so, what are titles do they have? I'm seeking alternative search terms.
Deloitte staff - which areas were affected the most in layoffs?
Do partners usually have a say in staff layoffs? Who decides to lay off the partners?
I’m feeling like a lay-off is imminent for me. What are the telltale signs from those who have laid off employees or those who had to fire staff?
I’ve heard Undergrad and Graduate placement into firms have been somewhat reduced due to covid. additionally some firms have laid off staff consultants. With this said, what are your guys thoughts on experienced hire recruiting for Summer 2020? Do you expect a highly competitive fall?
I feel like Deloitte is getting real slimey. Putting more than the typical number of staff on PIPs, to give themselves the opportunity to fire people for cause in a month or two without severance or anything.
PwC Repeat of 08 Policy: No layoffs, no furloughs, bonuses are being paid, manager milestone being paid, raises for promoted staff are maintained. Go PwC!
With the backdrop of Deloitte bugling revenue for FY 2020, let’s have a moment of silence for the laid off Deloitte staff, who’s jobs could have been kept if Deloitte wasn’t the outsourcing leader.
Dallas tax layoffs - 9 in BTS (4 SM, 2 mgr, 3 staff). Int and SALT no layoffs yet but expecting EOW.
Edelman lays off 5% of staff domestically. 50% of data and analytics team laid off in NY. Clearly decision makers understand the industry and what’s valuable (intuition > data)
How are staff selected for layoffs?
*POSTING THIS ON BEHALF OF A DEAR FRIEND*A former coworker at Rogers & Cowan / PMK was laid off today along with a few other staff members. She’s a Public Relations Executive, with lots of music and entertainment experience. I know these are hard times, but if you know about an agency or brand in need of staff members or freelancers, please don’t hesitate to reach out 🙏🏻 Thanks!

Let it be known that GroupM HR has been cold and unsympathetic in how they are handling the lay-off conversations and as far as I know, the severance package is about 1 wk of pay per year of service. https://www.adweek.com/digital/groupm-makes-staff-cuts-to-weather-the-coronavirus-pandemic/
Deloitte BTS layoffs? I heard Chicago, Houston, and Detroit. Anybody hear about other service lines? International, multistage, GES?
What firm do you work for and are you worried about layoffs?
Hi, received an offer from another Big4 in Amsterdam (currently working in Eastern Europe), but relocating, I’m concerned about potential layoffs in the coming period being the last to join the team.
ATK Layoffs starting today. I'm hearing every practice but ATI will be hit in the next week. 15-20% of some groups. Bloodbath
Coronavirus has made my spending behavior more conservative overall. Anyone else?Even those of us with jobs still don’t know if more layoffs are coming. Want to bump up my 6 month savings fund to 8.
Deloitte OCM laid off consultants and analysts. A recruiter contacted me about a position that listed Deloitte OCM methodology and ChangeScout experience as a plus. It is a contractor to hire position that can be remote now and into the future. The rate is too low for me and it seems@more on target at the analyst to SC level. DM me for Deets.
I just don’t like this current manager and I recently joined Deloitte 4 months ago. Should I consider quitting the firm or do you think there is a chance to quit project (and not get fired )
Should I get out of this industry while I still can? (Scared of all the layoffs and wondering if I can still have a long career in advertising)
Laid off! 🤕
I have $20k in savings, I owe $6,000 to my 401k loan, that’s the only loan I got. I am debt free otherwise except for my house. Should I use my savings to pay off? Since people are talking about unemployment and being fired, I wanted to make sure I have enough, 👩🏾💻... What should I do? I initially took the loan to add to my home equity when I sell my house for a new house then covid hit.
GTB is losing/laying off employees left and right. Rumor is that Ford is unhappy. But I love my department. Do I jump a sinking ship before threat of another layoff.... or do I ride it out and pray?
Got fired from a huge holding co agency. Now I’m persona non grata at all their other agencies. How do I get off the blacklist?
What are the odds that I’ll be allowed to WFH after completing my FLDP (the undergraduate kind, not the MBA kind)? I know people always say you’re more valuable to the company after you finish these programs but do I have enough leverage to do this (and not get fired, haha)?
'21 Grad who just got laid off a year after starting with a RE Developer. I'm lost right now and not sure what to do. My main focus was around project valuations, and proforma analysis. Has anyone gone through this? Especially so early on in my career.
Curious question fam - I'm 23 and earn ~70k. At what age will I get to six figures, if I'm not fired and move up at an average pace in consulting?
Has PwC done any layoffs since the pandemic started? Seems like business has been booming.
Mass layoff has started?
Do you ever get on a client where there’s barely any work to do at all? I’ve been on an engagement for 4 months now and I work maybe 3 hours max a week. Some days I feel guilty but others I’m just like - let me do the bare minimum to look good and not get fired.
Hey everybody. Got laid off at D. BTA within strategy and analytics. Mostly LS/HC experience. Anybody can help out with a referral anywhere? Thank you!
Just got out of a meeting with a client. Talk about uncomfortable- they'd fired their director that morning and he ran in screaming at the team. They ended up calling security to kick him out!
Anyone have experience with Forté?
Hi guys, iam looking for a referal in deloite bangalore, can anyone please help me in getting the referral.Yoe:3yrsSkills; powerbi, sql, snowflake
Can we buyout our notice period in Deloitte India. TEAM - RA
In 2016 Trump came ahead by a lower margin, and despite clear and then proven interference by Russia and collusion with the Trump campaign, everybody accepted the result, and congratulated Trump the day after. This time around there is a wider margin, no evidence of any major interference or illegal activity, and Trump and GOP are refusing to recognize the President elect, because they lost. When did the GOP become anti-democracy and anti-law? This is absolutely ridiculous
Need help. What does the deal technology team do at EYP? A recruiter contacted me and I wanted to get a background before I get to them. Could you also let me know what is IT due diligence?
