Brentwood is a very nice area. I don’t know what rents are. It would be amazing if you could live walkable to work. And it would save you a ton in parking costs as most employers don’t have free parking. Keep in mind that in general (in that area) the further west and north you go the nicer and more expensive housing will be. Culver’s city is trendy now. Palms is just the other side on Venice Blvd to Culver City. You didn’t mention Santa Monica. It’s in that area too.
It depends on exactly where. Parts of sawtelle are a little industrial. I would probably prefer Culver City over Sawtelle but Sawtelle is closer to your work by a few minutes. I think you need to look at buildings and walk blocks.
Will you have a car? Are you looking to have more of a city life vibe? Suburban vibe? What you're looking for in terms of lifestyle will dictate where you'll want to be.
We will have one car. Pretty open in terms of vibe.

Not familiar with Pico but the others are good choices. Make sure wherever you live has assigned parking.
Brentwood is actually one of the best neighborhoods right now and more great restaurants are moving in. I actually rent a 2-bed apartment in that price range in the area but have tenants in it right now. You would probably love the area and be able to walk to work.
Montana also amazing. The others you listed are fun but a little grittier, less walkable.
As long as you love Asian food.
They are literally all fine.If you’re picky you should rent an Airbnb for a month and hit the pavement a bit before committing to year long lease.
