I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

I didn't really pass, maybe because I took my time before starting my PhD.
I understand, I needed a vacation but I love what I do so much that it was enough.
Maaan, I took a break without even finishing the PhD. I feel like the time off really helped reenergize me for the final strech
Oh yeah. It was a huge milestone but felt like I earned myself some time off to vacation with my wife before getting back to my career
I actually decided to work at a friend's farm for a few months after. It was nice having some time to work with my hands and refresh my appreciation for nature
No! I spent years getting my PhD, I was way too eager to start getting into some practice
I've been working at a coffee shop as I make progress on my dissertation. It's a pretty fancy one so I've gotten to learn some brewing tips from a knowledgeable dude. It's almost like getting a second degree in coffee brewing haha
I am finishing my PhD right now and I am working through what to figure out next. Personally, I feel like it is time to leave academia and try to make some money hahah
I felt the same way after! I paid my dues, it's time to make some of it back lol
I was working part-time as a tour guide during my phd (don't ask how I found the time...I have no idea). When I was finally done, I switched to doing that full-time for 6 months before I started job hunting. The break was good for me and helped me figure out what kind of work I really wanted to do.
