Does anyone have experience or thoughts about life after big law (whatever that means)? I'm a third year tax associate and seriously worrying whether I've chosen a practice area that is too "niche" to find something after. Do I even want to practice law? Do I just need a vacation?? Any and all insights are welcome!
^ The above was cross posted to another bowl, but also wondering whether it's stupid to leave big law and maternity leave / benefits at this stage (planning on kids in a few years)
I received an offer from RSM to be a senior tax associate... How are your spring and fall busy seasons? What is the salary range for a senior? What are the benefits? Thanks in advance!

Dumb question from a new consultant - when traveling do most firms give consultant a per diem that they get to keep if they don’t spend or do you mostly just charge and get reimbursed for actual expenses?

Do McKinsey internal roles have similar sign on bonuses, annual bonuses and 401K benefits as consultants? I realize internal roles don’t pay similar salaries. Just trying to get a ballpark idea. Looking at mid/senior HR position. McKinsey & Company
I have a referral from Huron for a Healthcare Tech Sr Consultant position, and they just reached out for a phone interview. Can anyone advise on what that referral interview process looks like, i.e. number of interviews/rounds, tips on any case studies, etc. Additionally, what a reasonable salary comp is for a Sr. Consultant? Thank you!
I got my first offer for a boutique firm that aligns perfectly with what I want. Only thing is, this it’s as an “independent contractor”. What are some things to watch out here for? I know health insurance is huge but I have that taken care of already.
I don’t want to give away any specifics regarding the firm, but it’s a 50% increase in total comp, with the potential to be 70% increase based on performance and firm performance.
Any tips or tricks to navigate an independent contractor offer?
Looking for advice: is it better to max out 401k contribution or enough to get full firm match??

Any ideas on what to use commuter benefits on? Havent commuted to work since March 6, 2020 and now have several thousand collected that will expire this summer. I stopped the payroll deduction last summer but by then I already had several grand in my account. My employer is leaving our provider at the end of May and therefore all our collected funds are apparently expiring. Wondering what options I have and open to thoughts. Tia!

UX designers & hiring managers, what are the skills a designer must have to be "qualified" for a UX position? Keywords on resume? Certifications? Thank you all in advance!
