So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Had a recent job offer from Amazon TC 146 K sign on bonus 42K RSU 508 for a L6 Sr. Program manager based out of Nashville. This is barely more than the amount I make now(actually base is lower than what I make). I’m planning to ask for about 18% more, is that a high number? Does anyone have an idea how much Amazon negotiates? This is for a non tech role so I’m not sure of the exact salary range.

I have been offered an 84.5k and 8% bonus for a IT developer lll, lvl 8. I have around 3.5 years of experience. I started the interview process mentioning that i was expec around 90 and bonus which they we okay with.

1st round of negotiation over a call started at 80K being the max for lvl 7, later they came back with new code and made the lvl 8 offer straight through email.

Do you think there is more scope to negotiate?

When standing up for myself or clarifying my point is seen as "aggressive" or "defensive" but when my counterparts (who don't look like me) do it, they're seen as "strong." Ugh. Trying to soldier on.

Hi Sharks, I have few offer letter and the maximum from those is from UKG( Ultimate Kronos Group) Noida. CTC is 18.5LPA(16+ 1.5variable + 1 JB) for 3.6 years of experience in SpringBoot Microservices. Is there any company who can offer more than this? I completed technical round of interview for Cognizant and was scheduled for L2 round. But during the L2 round, there were some technical issues with the application due to which the interviewer got a lag in my voice. So he said he would reschedule the interview. What should I do next? Should i be waiting for the HR to connect or should I reach out to them directly.
