I got my start on YouTube with channels like Project Finance and option alpha. I'm sure there is more in-depth studies/books you could read but honestly YouTube is a great primer and I don't think you need to spend any money to learn more. I'd also say avoid “gurus” promising easy profits!
Thanks so much! Any other YT channels?
You’ll find to see there are a ton of strategies out there. Find what works best for you. If there is a stock that you’ve been following and have a decent understanding of that’s priced reasonably (won’t involve too much capital to enter), I’d begin there. I personally enjoy the poor man’s covered call. It allows you to capture growth while collecting premiums on weekly calls
The best way to figure things out is just starting to trade them and seeing what each trade does. After 3-5k you get a pretty good idea of what you’re doing

So, I’ll go against the grain… if you call yourself a noob, I’d stay away from options trading for profit. Learn to use options as a hedge, but generally stay long on stocks and hedge.
Options trading without owning the underlying is closer to gambling than most things.
I stayed a year ago. I recommend doing credit spreads first .
YouTube obviously but any book by Charles Payne is really informative. He breaks down the process. But YouTube, watching the ones the first guy recommended are great ones. GL
Thanks! 🙏
