I work in Nj at a pharmaceutical company and have been there for the past 4 years supporting a VP and currently at 77k a year and it’s not enough. Going to start interviewing elsewhere and want to get an idea of what starting salaries you all are at and what I should ask for. Any advice ?

I've been applying to Internal Audit Manager positions and been rejected for 2 positions based on salary expectations. I have 12YOE in all kinds of audits and industries, is it unreasonable to ask for $120k+ in an industry position?

I work in commercial real estate retail leasing. Current employer just increased base to $100k with avg. 20-35% bonus/commissions combined. Received offer to exclusively work for a tenant and help them open new locations. $115k base 10% bonus & also stock options. Remote work, lots of driving, similar job title. Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.
