I assume you mean uncomfortable with the current administration and what's going on? Part of me would say just try to lay low/stay under the radar for a little bit. This is culture war stuff, it will die down after a little bit if we all learn to stop being so reactive. As someone who is interested in diversity, I have tried to also consider diverse opinions wrt: DEI and I do think sometimes there are legitimate concerns. I'd recommend considering the full scope of the debate, understanding that much of it is culture war, and that the war against diversity in general will die down soon enough (that's my hope anyways)
I think this goes a little beyond culture war. They are acting against the civil service as a whole. It scores political points to stick it to civil servants by saying they don't work because they work remotely. They've even cancelled a program called DETO--Domestic Employees Teleworking Overseas. So this really messes things up for families where one family member is a diplomat or say Armed Forces and the other is a civil servant working for their agency but overseas. With the hiring freezes affecting embassies and military bases, this means EFMs (eligible family members) can't find employment in office either. So they've been screwed doubly. We've been forced to be a single income household because DOGE/The Heritage Foundation/Project 2025 want to decimate the civil service.
