Can someone from bcg explain the profit sharing plan in lieu of a 401k match? How much do you actually get per year
I left my old firm a few months ago and I just received a contribution to my old 401k and I believe it’s coming from a profit sharing plan that I was in. Am I able to rollover the full amount to my current 401k? Vanguard says it’s 25% vested so I don’t think I can
Can you all shed light on management consulting firms that have a profit sharing plan included with your salary/bonuses? Would those be quarterly bonuses usually?
Is anyone here taking part in their firm’s profit sharing plan? Any advice on what makes the plan good or bad? Pros/cons? I max out my HSA and 401k already.
Met this guy 4 weeks ago. He lives 4 hours away and has already been down to see me twice and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights each time. Pays for every date even though I offer to pay. He is awesome and I really like him! However, he was traveling for work last week so our communication went from checking in everyday to one 15 min call middle of the week. He joined this job during COVID so first time meeting his team.. he said they were out past 1am every night. Ummm? (Contd)
Both my husband and I have been remote since April 2020. We’re both very independent and do things alone here and there but I feel like working from home for so long has caused a bit of co-dependency. Recently, I’ve gone into the office a few times and I’ve noticed that I have a lot of anxiety about everything when I’m in the office - from work, the commute, my husband, how he’s doing, what he’s doing, etc. Has any one else dealt with this?
Getting an L4 offer in Chicago as a Solutions Consultant. Base: 110k | Equity: 120k | Sign on: 30k | Annual Bonus: 15%. YOE: 4.5. Fair offer?
Did anyone lateral into big law? First year in insurance litigation defense and I’m looking to see if it’s even possible to break into big law in a year or two
Only thing making staying on a Thursday worth it is the hotel is having a Halloween party...free cotton candy, pop corn, beer and snacks
Is there an audit to see if you actually charge vacation while taking vacation. Couldn't you schedule vacation and just charge G&A? I would never risk it but curious how that works.
Hi! If anyone has any time on their hands, do you mind looking over my resume and giving me your thoughts? This is the first time I’d be applying since I was a student and any advice means a lot
I am in a situation where my group is about to be laid off. I have not interviewed for 8 years and never in the US. I consider myself extremely talented in the tech field and have contributed to many well used libraries and frameworks but I can’t even get an interview anywhere I apply. Are there any resources to get feedback on what I’m doing wrong?
DM for a referral to KPMG!!
#advice #mentorship #creativedirectors Hello, business owners and creative community leaders. Since moving to SW Florida end of 2019, professional life has been a f*ckin doozy (for many of us.) For 15 years I’ve been an art director / brand / designer and can say I’ve done well. After many connections and interviews and tests and hoops I’m not getting hired. Feeling defeated, frustrated — bang head here! Any mentors / leaders that can advise a renewed jump to restart? Thank you in advance.
Do people still wake up with purpose, put on their pants, and take the day head-on? Or do they just roll out of bed, put on a hat, turn on Zoom, and just survive the work day like myself?
Did anyone else have extremely slow response time from recruiting during your interview process? Olive
C right now at Uncle D and thinking of making the jump to PwC or BCG with all the layoffs. Have an MPA and 6+ years experience. What's a good salary range for my interviews??
I’ve applied to over 40 jobs since I was laid off in March. Not one click to my portfolio, per analytics. With a family of four, we are being spread thin. Not only is the income desperately needed, but my creative soul needs a release. I would be happy to do typical Art Director work but I’m “over qualified” for that and am never taken seriously when applying for work below CD/ACD. If anyone needs or know of any company needing freelance work, large or small—I’d really appreciate the lead. 🙏
Have any of you joined a company with no official maternity leave policy? I’m in CA which makes me feel somewhat safe but this start up I’m talking to surprisingly doesn’t have a formal mat leave policy yet.
IMPORTANT: If the Big 4 becomes the Big 5, the new addition will need a 5 letter acronym: D, EY, PWC, KPMG, _ _ _ _ _
Currently on a 7 day commercial due diligence sprint. Yesterday, the day it was due, the client asked if we could change our entire deck from 4:3 to 16:9 format. This ask officially broke the other junior resource. He's now on a mental health leave of absence for the next couple of months. How is your project going?
Senior director - 420K TC. 10 YOE. Is this high or low? Looking for my next move up in terms of comp. VP at small cap? Lateral move to another large cap+negotiation? Life sciences arms of Tech?
