Profit Sharing Plan Discussions

How do you strategically answer the question “what is your expected pay range?” when the pay range listed is $20-$40/hr (salaried) and you want to negotiate towards $45/hr? I feel like I shocked my interviewers when I told them my expectations. I haven’t really experienced this feeling but I understand the shock since I’ve been on the other side. I feel like I should know the answer, but somehow it feels much different.

Do SCIs outside of the intelligence community require polygraphs? I have a TS, and have an offer from a firm that requires an SCI. I have no desire of going thru polys but am curious if offices in DOD, DOS, etc require you to get poly’d. Again I know it’s extremely variable but curious on folks experiences with SCIs outside of the intel community

I am currently at the 'highest' level possible for an individual contributor in my org. A next step would be taking on a People mgmt role.

The issue is: internally it's a slow process, because you will manage peers and often new people managers are coming from an other team or company.

Going to an other company is impossible as to become a people manager you need people mgmt experience.

How do you deal with this?

Anyone else feel they cannot be as assertive as non-Asian peers? Instead of assertive seen as aggressive or abrasive.
