I am a new grad who just joined EY's tech risk consulting division, didn't think I was going into IT audit (I'm a finance grad), and here I am feeling foolish. It's been 2 weeks, so its too soon to make a move. I want to switch into the business transformation/strategy division at EY. How and when should I make this move? I don't want to waste my time in this division, but also don't want to leave too soon and leave a bad name for myself. Should I apply to other firms from now?
What are your thoughts about this post - offering two weeks paid vacation to new employees. Is it a hugely beneficial thing? Is giving a sign on bonus instead better? Should you offer a choice? Maybe some don’t want to take vacation and are excited to hit the ground running asap, what do you do about them? Or do you force everyone in this org culture or take vacation / reset before starting a new job? Our company already offers unlimited PTO. We’re debating the pros and cons of doing the below:
Would it be wrong of me to put in my two weeks after receiving my bonus, accrued PTO payout, and first check after promotion?
