Can anyone give me suggestions than liking my post?
Without knowing the complete background no one would be able to help....
Provide enough details so that people from your line can suggest somwthing
Sure. I’ll explain my situation in more detail.
I’m currently trying to transition into IAM / SailPoint-related roles and actively applying for opportunities. I have been learning IAM concepts, SailPoint IIQ basics, provisioning/deprovisioning, access management, RBAC, certification processes, and IAM operational activities.
However, despite applying to many jobs, I’m getting very limited interview calls or responses. I’m trying to understand the actual reason behind it.
Some possible concerns I personally feel could be affecting my profile:
• Career gap
• Lack of real-time production/project experience in IAM
• Resume positioning
• Skill mismatch with current market expectations
• Applying for roles beyond my current practical level
Currently, I’m mostly targeting:
• IAM Analyst
• SailPoint Support
• IAM Operations
• Access Management roles
• Provisioning/UAR-related roles
I would genuinely appreciate honest guidance from experienced professionals regarding:
• What skills I should focus on
• Which certifications are actually valuable
• Whether my expectations/target roles are realistic
• What recruiters usually look for in IAM/SailPoint candidates
• How I can improve my profile to become more employable
Any practical suggestions would really help me improve myself in the right direction.
