Do I need to wait for my background check to clear before putting in my resignation? I’m not worried about anything but I’d prefer giving my two weeks as soon as I get the offer

I would wait

like

You give your 2 weeks when the new company says you're clear to do it.

like

Yes, wait for it to clear

I’d definitely wait for the formal offer. But not sure if I need to wait until the bcg clears. That would delay my start date significantly and the new manager wants me to start soon

depends. when’s the start date?

i don’t know if mine has cleared yet. but i’ve already started working for the new company loll

If you got nothing to hide, then why not?

Handed in my notice after signing the offer (before background cleared).

If you’re comfortable nothing would come up and are desperate to leave, you do you.

What’s your opinion on math homework? I teach 4th grade and have always given it but I’d like to see what others do and weigh out if it’s really worth it. If I give it, I feel like I should spend class time going over it but on the other hand I stress myself out trying to keep the absent work organized and those that don’t even do the work.

If you decide to move down a level in your next role, for learning purposes and for more wlb, is that frowned upon by future employers and looks bad on your resume? I've been think about it but haven't pulled the trigger. Also fear that getting a lower level job will be tough if they see me as 'over-qualified'. For context, this would be going from a director role to a SM or Manager role.
