Hello everyone,
I have recently moved to Long Beach, CA and I am currently looking for a Recruiting Coordinator or Technical Recruiter role close by. I am also open to hybrid or remote jobs.
5 years of HR and Admin experience, masters in business and management and currently reading towards my SPHR. Also looking for someone well experienced in the field to serve as a career mentor.
Any advice, criticism or suggestions will be appreciated.

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)

Does previous Consulting experience increase your odds when applying for MBB during MBA recruiting?

Are MBB sponsored MBA students expected to return to their home firms for the summer between their two years? I know you're obligated to go back post-MBA, but what about the summer in between?

Advice on taking the SHRM-SCP exam? I’m taking the exam tomorrow and not feeling as prepared as I should. Who has taken the SCP exam? How difficult did you find it?

I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.

If I reject Accenture Technology offer, will I be able to appear for Accenture Strategy interview later on? I have an MBA.

I’m looking into exiting consulting and moving into product management. Picked up a few books to read. Would a PM certification provide a lot of value? Any other tips are appreciated! Thank you.

Considering going for the CFE. What was your study plan for it and how long did it take?

What are the typical exits for post MBA strategy consultants (think tier 2 e.g., Parthenon, LEK)? Do they typically get a pay cut? I currently earn 90k base but have been getting recruiter calls for 70-80k (all insisting that salary will be lower outside consulting)

What are the cheapest study materials to study for the CFE? I didn’t want to pay out 1k+ for the prep course from ACFE.

In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

Do T2 consulting firms (think Kearney, OW) and MBB hire experienced professionals WITHOUT MBA (I.e., is a prestigious MBA mandatory in the region?). I already have a post-MBA position

I had question, when we apply for a job in another country, they usually ask a question “Are you legally allowed/eligible to work in that country”

In such a case, do you select yes or no? What is the criteria to answer that question?

What is a reasonable pay increase + bonus? This will be my first pay increase. I make 70k and I will be starting my second year at big law (immigration). I had 2 years of prior experience before joining the firm. My manager rated me highest in all areas and mentioned she recommended me for promotion but it may not happen until next cycle since there are limited number of promotions to give. I will get a pay increase regardless so I want to negotiate in case I don’t get a “good” increase.
