I'm facing a dilemma - there's a job offer I want to accept, but it's paying 15% less than my target salary. The company culture and growth potential look amazing, though. Has anyone taken a pay cut for the right opportunity? Any regrets?

You said it’s less than your target salary. But also saying it’s a pay cut. Are you currently getting your target?

Took a big paycut to be a job less stressful with similar growth opportunity in the future. I don’t regret it.

A pay cut, as in it being less than your target? I’m open to negotiations if other things can be brought in to help me close that gap. Very situational on the specifics for the job and company.

I took a 10% cut to move into a new industry that I was passionate about. It hurt at first, but I was excited to go to work every day, and that made a huge difference. A year later, I was making more than before.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
