I've never worked at a job that had contracts like that. So I don't really have firsthand experience. I imagine it's really stressful. Do you think there's something you could reward yourself at the end of a contract in order to push through it? Maybe something you've been wanting to buy or save up for?

Ah that’s a good idea, like a present to myself- something to look forward to!
I've worked on projects where something like that can happen. I'll work with a team of people, and things go great and I'm doing something fulfilling, and when it ends it feels deflating. That sense of loss and disorientation will pass. It's good to take a break, catch your breath, and get working on something else.

I’d say plan a trip to celebrate the ending of a job and just make plans to relax and do stuff you enjoy during this time

Yes I actually have a holiday booked, going on Sunday!
