After John Oliver's statement on access to mental health services, I'm curious to see others' takes. Is our mental healthcare system broken? Is it inaccessible? With so many digital counseling services and the breaking down of -some- stigmas around mental health, I feel like we have done better. People just need to make the decision to seek help.

Any good resources when analyzing multiple countries for a market entry case?

Feel like I’ve fallen out of love with sales. Love talking with people / presenting. Have been in my new role for a month, was promised a team to generate leads and all I do is cold call all day. Boomerangs who left consulting for industry...how long did it take you to realize you made a mistake? Now that you're back in consulting, do you like it better than before?

The junior associates on my team made a gigantic mistake I could not fix in time (despite my best efforts). I feel like my head is going to roll because I was the senior associate shepherding the assignment for the three senior partners I work with. I am planning to reach out to the three partners to ask to debrief. But is there anything I can start thinking about or doing right away in case I do get fired in that convo? What do you wish you knew about getting fired?

Curious, what do companies use to evaluate performance if you don’t have reliable metrics? A technical workforce that is valued for their daily outputs vs projects, goals, etc. but there’s not a consistency or way to measure quality or amount of work being completed.

undergrad deciding between an offer from OW in NY ( interested in FS and any exposure to sust practice I'd get there) as well as deloitte in NY & a nonprofit boutique called redstone that does social sector work. deciding mostly, i think, between OW and redstone -- pay is ~15% lower at redstone, but work seems more impactful and diverse. eventually i am tentatively planning on pursuing grad degree as well (so care abt grad school support). would love any feedback/thoughts! thanks so much!!!

Is it super petty of me to keep calling and generally bugging potential clients when they ghost me and refuse to respond? To be clear, this is a policy I reserve for people who get way deep into the process, let we’re about to sign contracts, and then they just vanish.
