Do any litigation associates have any experience working for a firm that pays based on how much you bill & your billable rate as opposed to flat salary + bonus? At first blush it sounds okay but as a litigator I know there are slow periods and I’d hate to have the constant pressure of working as much as possible to not make less money during that time. A recruiter reached out to me from Meta for a contingent worker role at Meta. It seems like an interesting enough role. The title is Program Manager IV. I have 14 years experience in tech roles and have never worked for any FAANG, but I really want to chance.

I'm trying to figure out what sort of hourly rate I can demand for this role. What sort of comp do regular salaried employees get for Program Manager IV roles (or equivalent)?
