Is it just me or is finding a job as a mechanical engineer hard I sent over 100 of applications and I still can’t find a job even though I got two years experience in a field service engineering position. Am I doing something wrong?

It’s definitely not just you. My cousin’s a mech engineer too, and it took him 9 months to land his current role, and he had experience and everything. Sometimes it’s not about you but about timing and visibility. Have you tried tapping alumni networks or local industry meetups?

No it's not just you. This is what I'm hearing from literally everyone in every industry. Something is broken in our system, and I think it's a combo of corporate greed, transitions with AI hiring and diminishing roles due to increased AI capability, and then just hiring freezes/ inflation/ tariff fear from all the political uncertainty. I would prioritize workign with former colleagues and seeing if you can get referrals

How do I get a job as a Mechanical Engineer if I dont have experience?

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam.
