BCG fish I need advice. Currently interviewing for a Consultant level role, they mentioned it was generalist track and it’s located in the south region. A bit of advice to folks looking for sponsorship: When applying to an American company, please do well to use a resume and not a CV(international format). Shows you did your research. Also a resume should not be more than a page unless you have over ten years of experience or your bullets are absolutely relevant to the position you’re applying to. Being able to summarize your experience to relevancy is part of being a quality consultant. 1st few lines should tell a recruiter what they need

Then he was always high and came across very rude, didn’t accept any of my answers, he even shared his screen at some point and showed me a word doc! It was very weird, all the time he wanted to prove i am not a good fit! One point he was like oh you know this ! Come come, i have had enough of his attitude and asked him to close it! I have two pending offers. Hoping for some insight on the WLB, Culture, benifits, leadership, career trajectory? NOT the money Accenture: L9 - Consultant (WFH) $132K base + 27K signon. Interviewed for an M but got downleveled. (I live in a reasonable cost of living city, estimates put it 35% cheaper than Seattle) Amazon: L6 - Sr Program Manager role (Seattle) 135K base, 70K signon over 2 years, $110K RSUs. I’m already a manager with 5yoe, so feeling ACN is downleveling. Coming from Industry!
Interviewed for a SC role within S&A at Deloitte but the team came back and said they feel more comfortable bringing me in as a C. The salary would be comparable to what I’m making now. EY Technology Transformation ($95K) or Deloitte S&O? Interviewing for the latter and seems like a Senior Consultant at Deloitte makes about $130K a year, if not more. Never had to do it at my old job, and I’m a bit of an introvert. Worried I’ll be a nuisance by reaching out to MDs just to say hi?

I’m shocked by how broken and frustrating the AWS recruiting process for tech positions is. Seems like complete disconnect between the recruiting coordinators and the folks who actually interview. Maybe I just happened to get the most incompetent set of recruiting coordinators but the expectations set and instructions given for each interview were inaccurate plus the interviewer seemed to be reading from a script the entire time. Holy f*ck. What kind of brainless robots are they looking for?
I have an upcoming PM interview with an engineering manager. What types of questions should I expect? For some context, the interview is for a generalist PM role (not too technical) for a company that develops APIs.

How do you go about looking for new opportunities/job? I have been working at Deloitte for 2 years since graduating college (Engineering degree on H1B) and I absolutely hate how non-stimulating my job is. I don’t think I have learned anything or picked up any skills except for bs’ing, so I don’t even know where to start looking for exit props as I feel like I’m not qualified for any job except this bs consulting. For people that have left, how did you go about the job search?

Looking to create a tool we can use for stakeholder relationship tracking. We want to be able to hear a clients name, look them up in the tool, see info about their role and department, and see which of our consultants have worked with them before and on what projects. Trying to think of an easy to use, interactive tool beyond something like excel. What’s something you’ve used for this before? Don’t think we’ll be going as far as purchasing a license for a CRM software

Its week 1 and I feel like I’m in way over my head! How do you shake this feeling? I know I can do the job but I am sometimes my own worst enemy when it comes to pushing myself outside my comfort zone. Hubs has been helpful in hyping me up but I still feel so imposter-y.

I’ve been through 5+ weeks of interviews with a company that will IPO next year and they did a bait and switch on me with the offer: it was advertised as “Head of” and then during the offer-walk-through-meeting today they said “oh btw we changed the title to ‘Senior Manager’ for this role”. They offered me a salary I made 4 years ago as a manager. They offered stock options with an exercise price TBD 1 year from now…which is when they’re hitting IPO. Is that normal for stock options?
