It is always a tough question to ask, but definitely don’t let it drags you down. I was lucky enough to get two internships before I graduated but what I can tell you is that you should look for a job, any job that you can work under. Obviously, you would want one that you want to work under but as you may know the competition is real and everyone wants someone that is experienced. It’s rare that an employee would hire anyone with no past experience at least but it definitely happens, just tailor your resume right to each job and ace your interviews. Don’t worry much whether or not you’ll like your first job, just get the experience you need and the second job will be easier to land. You also have your FE so that makes you a little better than the average ME. Show that you’re better than others and how your hands on projects helped you learned as a ME and how you plan to apply your knowledge at work while having the eagerness to learn!
Maybe consider relocating

Alternatively, try doing some work as machinist/CAM programmer, it will be the best experience you may get next to an internship. Designing is one thing, designing something manufacturable is invaluable.
