Accenture peeps - I think I mistimed maxing out my 401k this year. Does our next pay period count towards this year's contributions or next year's? It's for 12/15-12/31 but we're paid 1/5ish. Help!

My friend is a Veteran Army Officer with nearly 10 years of experience and just got his MBA from a Tier 2 school. He has a few interviews at boutique healthcare consulting firms on the east coast. What’s the salary range he should be asking for/considering?

I’m taking a few calls for new opps at a couple different firms and wanted to get a pulse on feelings from folks who actually work there to help me narrow it down. Agencies are: Weber Shandwick, Ruder Finn, FleishmanHillard and a smaller boutique called LifeSci Communications. From The sounds of other threads on here, I’m nervous about WS. Looking for a read on Work/Life balance, how well staffed they are, avg pay range (VP level), PTO/holidays/benefits, etc. So, how do you like working there?

Considering Deloitte Delivery Center role in Tech as an Architect, thoughts on their DCs? Also what is D Healthcare like (provider?). I’m assuming usual high & low deductible, also gold plan? Thanks

Between two offers, "Associate Principal" for m&a consulting in the Healthcare industry vs a Director at a F300 company doing M&A and Partnerships. Consulting pays about 50k more. What does the future look like in consulting? I am a bit nervous jumping from from "industry side" to the "consulting side".

How much do you pay for benefits? I am thinking about moving districts but I am not sure what the hidden fees are for their benefits. Wish it was more transparent, I feel like other districts get paid way more but I was wondering if they syphon your money away with health insurance, dental etc.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. Bringing this topic to the broader bowl: why is product manager at a big tech deemed a more respectable role than an internal Consulitng/biz ops role? I have interacted with some product managers at big tech. It seems to me the focus of PM work, especially at a big tech, is quite narrow: you start off improving a button, a UI, a small feature release, and nature of the work is very operational. Can someone explain to me the reason behind MBA grads flocking to PM path vs. say google biz ops?
