Go with a firm and avoid all the costs that come with having lawyers as employees and avoid constantly having to compete for talent with firms offer more than corporations because they have to worry less about pay equity. Also, when your job is insecure based on performance (a hired firm) you’ll perform better versus knowing that no matter what (they can suck and be half invested) they’ll have a job.
Depends what you are litigating and what resources you have at the firm. Litigating is expensive. Experts, costs, time, and the litigation attorneys and staff are more expensive. Litigating small cases is a tough way to make money. Litigating bigger cases is profitable (and can be very profitable) if you are selective in what cases you litigate.
We have the money. And all gamut of cases small and large. What cut off do you suggest. Usually is like 15k to 2 million dollar cases. I guess we can farm out the small ones.
