I'll give you my minutes because there's nothing I'm more passionate about than getting protein in. It's like my secret weapon now, and I used to be just like you about protein. Give it a month of consistency and I promise you'll see the results. If you pair it with training, you'll see what a miracle it is in building muscle and bouncing back after tough workouts—seriously, I can feel the difference! Plus, when I load up on protein, I do stay fuller for longer, which helps me resist those pesky snack attacks throughout the day. I think you'll feel it too if you give it more consistency, And it's not just about muscles; protein also keeps energy levels up and body repair, esp after my intense workouts. I've even heard it's great for keeping your heart and bones healthy, so it's a win-win!
I used to struggle with this too! Once I upped my protein, I noticed fewer cravings and way more energy throughout the day. Greek yogurt, eggs, and bone broth helped a lot. I try to get at least 30g protein at each meal. Also, protein-packed snacks made hitting my goal easier. Maybe tracking intake for a bit could help? What foods do you usually go for?
My diet is pretty SAD (standard American diet) lol. I enjoy a steak here and there but its mostly bread and pasta and lasagna and frozen foods. That's probably why the shift has been this hard for me. Maybe I will take this more seriously and track to see what the changes can offer for me.
I would love to know as well because I am so bad about eating during the day so then when I do it its not something with a ton of protein in it and I don't stay full. I defintiely need to work on drinking more water too.
