I personally would. The whole appeal of working in sales is having your compensation directly tied to your effort. If it isn't, what's the point in working yourself to the bone when there's no incentive for doing so?

I think you have to find a balance that works for you. I've found that doing the bare minimum ends up feeling bad after a while, you just feel like a phony everyday. So I wouldn't go that far. But would I be giving 110%? No way. Give 80-90% and you'll feel much better
If you're working for an organization that doesn't reward your hard work then you need to find another position. If you're a top performer, take your skills elsewhere. The solution is not to do the bare minimum, it's to outperform but in a better venue.
Heck, yes! Work your wage girl! The moment you start pulling back and doing just you job watch how quickly your manager notices.
