Is it true that I will have to frequently work late at night. Is the shift timings 9 to 6 as the hr told me or it usually extends? Pwc AC PwC

You’ll be waiting months. Mine took nearly 1.5 years but they were backlogged.
Yeah. Everyone is not the same. You happen to be fortunate. Your anecdote is not a reality for most people.
Mine took a month in a half, and they go deep into EVERYTHING. So it is best to be honest as possible.
As a person who worked in the government for over 20 years in that area it depends on the type of clearance and each person/case is different. So while it may take six months for one person it can take a year or more for another person depending on a multitude of different things.
Depends of level of clearance, your background and age. Age only means there is more to look at and potentially investigate, takes longer. And then higher level clearances are investigated again more often. TS and Q every 5 years and Secret and L every 10 years.
Government clearance usually takes 6 months.
Frustrating part is that, we apply looking at their requirements thinkin that we perfectly fit their expectations but they decline applications without a reason! How are we supposed to know where we lack?
