Confused if parents want schools to reopen or not? I read so many posts here about how difficult it is to work full time and manage kids’ at-home schooling (I can’t even imagine!) so would assume that means parents want to reopen, but at the same time keep seeing a ton of backlash from parents in states who are pushing to reopen due to safety reasons. What’s the general consensus?

spent a week brushing up technical skills and did assessment, went through four rounds to the final round just to be told “sorry, were going with someone else” when I asked for feedback they said the team liked me and my performance was fine but they liked the other candidates background better :-/ if they didn’t like my background why interview me in the first place :-(

One of my current coaching clients told me “I have to interview for my job.” It’s not the first time I’ve heard of this happening in a re-org. But please, HR folks, help me understand: Why this is a good idea? It seems incredibly anxiety-provoking for the employees. What’s the business rationale for this? I am a working mom, a senior, and was born/raised in a different country. But tonight I was told to be open to be a counsel next year, and work on my oral communication and accent reduction. I am sad and devastated. Any nurses here transition completely out of healthcare and into tech and hit $150k with their first tech job? I have my associate in nursing with 10 years of hospital experience. Im trying to figure out if I should get a bachelors in computer science or just get a certificate in my preferred area of computer science. I want tech companies to take me seriously and want to crack $150k with my first job. My nursing job now pays 130k. What area of tech would even pay that much as a newbie?
