I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

You are regretting leaving your "first love." It's like the man going through a mid-life crisis who dumps the "wife of his youth" and takes up with a trophy wife half his age. After a year of "bunny business," he realizes Bambi cannot carry on an intelligent conversation, is more than likely entertaining numerous "guests" while he's at work, and really doesn't like her much any more. He misses the woman who loved him, saw him through tough times, gave him children, etc. If you are miserable where you are, admit you made a mistake and try to "go home again." Less money, less stress, less aggravation, more fulfillment. Sounds like a good deal.
I wish I could. But the reasons I left are too substantial. No maternity leave, 1.5+ hr commute roundtrip. Now I WFH and can be here for my toddler and ailing mother when I need to. But you are right, I do miss my first love.
Focus on the things you do like about your job. That can help you get through the day. It sounds like the benefits are only thing, so is it really the corporation you dislike or the job itself? If it’s the job, can you make a move within your company? In my firm (a very large one, 5,000+), admins move to new jobs all the time. The admin jobs are seen as the gateway to other roles in the company. Are you able to apply internally for something else? If it’s the company and the job, start looking for something else. There are other companies out there with as good or better benefits (wfh, pay, flexible hours) and jobs.
Why are you stuck OP? I feel like stuck is really just a mindset. If I were you I would start looking for something new. We spend way too much time at our jobs to work in a role that we cannot stand.
Stuck is 1) the job market. I spent 2 years looking for this job and only had a handful of callbacks that whole time, especially 2) the field. It’s REALLY hard finding something I’m qualified for that wouldn’t be exactly the same, If I’m being idealistic I want to move to something more specialized, but again, the first two problems apply. I’ll keep applying to every position I can, but I have to find ways to succeed in my current position while I’m here.
