Lately, working retail feels like a constant mental tug-of-war. You feel guilty calling in sick, anxious during interviews when rules suddenly change, and scared to advocate for yourself without risking your job. I’ve learned that even when you do everything “right,” these environments can make basic needs—rest, clarity, fairness—feel like you’re asking for too much, when really you’re just asking to be treated like a person.

I think part of the secret to succeeding in retail is just not caring that much. If you get fired, retail jobs are a dime a dozen. But allowing yourself to be mistreated or disrespected just means they're going to do it 10 times more. Stand up for yourself and don't care what happens.

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?
