I have been in insurance sales for 7 years. Not something was ever thinking I would do. I have a bachelors and masters in general psychology. My masters was more research based in hopes I would go back for my PhD one day. I decided to just go back for my MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics. How can I break out of the insurance sales role and into something else with insurance if all my experience has been sales. Should I just wait until I am done with my degree and then search after?

I interviewed for a position at Microsoft recently and I'm a bit confused by the experience. The recruiter wanted to know my exact salary at my current company...He said hiring managers will not even look at my resume until I share my numbers. I declined to share my current comp and he said if I wanted to move forward I have to share that info.

Do I have to disclose this? And is there a way for them to verify it if I say a higher number?

I have an offer at D with 110 base. I have one final round interview remaining at S& for the experienced associate level. Recruiter at S& has informed that feedback so far has been positive.

Need to sign the D offer by tomorrow. S& will not be able to give an offer by tomorrow.

Should I sign the D offer and still do S& interview? Appreciate any advice! Liked the S& folks more. I'm an international so can't afford to get blacklisted by D. Both roles are for TECH STRATEGY!

I switched from audit to consulting, and I thought I’d enjoy my job since I’m no longer ticking the box.. doing something that’s more challenging (what people said lol) .. helping the client etc etc but honestly the job seems pretty much the same. I still work on meaningless BS stuff.
Is it because I’m not in ‘real’ (strategy) consulting? I do process improvement / CFO advisory. Or are all corporate jobs pretty much the same other than the pay / wlb (which is def. better)

It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
