I understand you like your boss and position but it’s time to walk. I stuck around at a job over a decade for the same reasons, making squat money, etc, wish I had left sooner
Same situation where new hires were making much more for much less. I loved my manager but there was nothing she could do so I left…for 50k more. It would have taken me approximately 25 years to come close to my base salary by taking a new position with a different company. It’s scary but possible. Good luck!
Time to walk. Apply to jobs knowing you have great skills and deserve more. When asked what salary range you are after, don’t sell yourself short.
There are good teams and good managers everywhere.
May, June, July, August. Time to find a new job. If you gave your notice and had a $25k raise and they felt like they couldn’t replace you, how quickly would HR get back to you? Happened to me when hr and executive refused my boss’s(SVP) request to promote me to VP for three years. All of a sudden, 10% additional raise as I just had my review and yes to VP title.
Senior Manager- it’s scary but I don’t regret it. Right after I left they brought it a nightmare COO. She hired my replacement- no management exp (I had almost 15) and gave her the VP title. Their marketing was a laughingstock. I was only sad because the branding became a joke and then boring. I still connect with many of my old teammates, but the place has changed. So sad. Customers are very unhappy.

My VP said that he would submit a request to HR after speaking with the Sr. VP. This was in early May. I’m still being told that they are waiting on an answer.
I don’t want to jump ship, but I still cannot pay my bills.
When I told him that the increase was not enough, I also said that what they are paying me is what a lot of companies are starting new hires out with. In addition, I told him that considering that I always have great reviews, he never has to follow up or babysit me
