I am sick of being a realtor! I've been trying for 5 years and have only sold 3 houses. Where I'm from (small Southern town) nobody is buying. Most people's families already own homes and it's just a bummer to see all these nice houses deteriorating over time.

No offense, but 3 houses in 5 years seems unsustainably low, is this your only source of income?

You know, maybe it was just a bad career choice. It can happen to anyone. Thankfully we have some good transferable skills for marketing and sales so a career switch is always in the cards

Hello, I think you only have 2 options, if you want to continue being a real estate agent you can move to a new place and the other option would be to change your job.

I would tell you to keep trying but man does not live by bread alone, I think you should explore other options such as trying to be a real estate agent focused on rentals.

Consider being a property manager or being a salaried realtor for a company like Redfin.

Im so confused by maternity leave policies and Reed can’t answer any of my questions. So, I can take 4 weeks before delivery and 6 weeks after delivery through California disability leave in addition to 12 weeks parental leave. If I deliver early, does it mean I have more time off after delivery? How about I deliver late? Another question, my due date falls on Christmas time, can I stop my disability leave and use holiday time and continue with the disability leave?

Subsequently, I was required to sign a contract and provide financial details and ID for onboarding purposes. I have then given Microsoft office sign-in credentials.

Would like to verify the facts and personnel above. TQ!

How do you deal with an overconfident male coworker? He loves to brag to me about how much more he makes as a JD (I’m a CPA) and its infuriating. He’s often underutilized and has trouble with basic accounting concepts while I’m in high demand and sometimes asked to review his work product because he’s sloppy. I restrained myself this week from asking him why he didn’t just go to a law firm (answer: he couldn’t get hired). How do I politely shut him up? Should I switch firms for a pay bump?

Visa sponsorship is needed. I foresee a possible negotiation on compensation from Deloitte.

Not sure of the estimate yet but I understand it would be 55-60k as per other fishes . Should I settle for a lower comp while employer pays one time sponsorship & migration costs or bear the migration costs self and chase a good salary . Which is better ?
