My nanny just put in her notice, we are happy for her as she has completed her masters degree and has found a job in her desired field but we are sad to have her leave and to now have to find a new caregiver. How have you all been successful in finding good nanny candidates? I have done countless interviews on my own without much success but have been hesitant to hire a nanny consulting company to find a replacement because there doesn’t seem to be any guarantee if the nanny decides to leave.

i had my canadian pr last year but didn’t do the landing since covid hit. the deadline passed of course and the immigration office reached out to check if i’m still interested and if so i should re-do a medical. assuming my medical goes through and my pr is processed and accepted again, does anyone know if landing is still a thing? my original plan was to do a landing and move after 2 years. is this still possible or does canada basically want you to move in a year or so after pr is granted?

Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.
