They’ve already offered a 33% hike on your current. I don’t think they can offer any higher unless you show them other offer letter with higher offer.
Plus you’re not considering the 12.5% variable. Of which you easily get 70-80% at year end.
Pretty much v less for a manager role -AVP . Check for the band , what they give there and also do check with fellow AVPs on NAB.
I think if they have some band range they should be putting you in it and not make the salary parity by judging you on the basis of your previous salary.

That’s not how salaries work. Let me try to put some logic to it with an example. Let’s say, for NAB, the AVP band had salary range of 40-45 and YOE is uptil 10. For VP, salary is uptil 55L and YOE is 10-15yrs.
Now comes 2 candidates. One from consulting background with 7 YOE and 50L. Other from tech background with 12YOE and 20L package.
NAB will put candidate A in AVP but will still offer him increment on 50L instead of limiting his salary to 45L.
Similarly, for candidate B, he’ll be given VP position but will be given increment basis his current salary of 20L instead of band maximum of 55L.
In summary, the salary range and YOE are only to decide the band that you’ll get. The increment will always be on your current salary.

I also want to ask that 20 was during the initial HR round before the technical interview. So now when we discuss, how much more can I successfully negotiate?
