How are 1st year litigation associates dealing with WFH? I’ve been having terrible anxiety/panic attacks, and pretty sure my billables wont exceed 110 for April. I am currently practicing insurance litigation but am looking to transition into corporate law (M&A, private equity). I have heard horror stories about this practice area though. I am looking for input from those who practice in this area. Do you like it? Is it interesting? What are the hours like? It seems a lot of people in this area are looking to get out...am I making a mistake by looking to get in?

My joining date mentioned in IBM Offer letter which I received just a while ago is second week of November, 2021. However, I have 90 days notice period. It also says to accept within 3 days and a clause is written that joining date can be revised only till 5 days. Will ibm revise my joining date ? I am very anxious it's too late so I cant even call recruiter.

Is it a bad idea to have a mentor or advisor who isn't a minority? Would it be better to get one that is? There's a woman I would consider asking to be my mentor but she's white and I'm mixed Korean and African American.
