Should I tell upper management my regional director is a big reason myself and other coworkers have left or are looking to leave?

No just leave quietly if you have a job lined up. No need to be a hero! Just keep your peace.

likefunny

It’d feel great for a day, but don’t do it. It’ll reflect worse on you than your director.

Upper Management will get the picture if they pay attention to the retention rates, especially within a department. If you do have a new job secured, I wouldn't bother. Let the actions speak for themselves.

like

No, they already know and don't care. Move on.

like

100 💯 agree ....they know it and they do not care....they will just get another person to take the place of those who left... it is a Human Recycling Plant

I agree with the comments saying not unless you have a new position. If your company is like mine, we have multiple layers of management. Everyone knows the ‘good ones’ and the ‘bad ones’. However- I have personally witnessed coworkers trying to speak up, only to be shutdown, opportunities dry up, and targets placed on their backs through ‘performance needs improvement’ reviews. They are generally more retaliatory than developmental. Be careful.

like

If you still work there, I probably wouldn’t—just to avoid putting a target on your back. However, if you’re leaving, it wouldn’t hurt to go ahead and tell them, since you have nothing to lose.

like

Don’t do this, move on.

I’m sure anything you want to escalate is already well known. Metrics of turn over are clear. I suspect this person has some valuable contribution which counters being horrible to people.

like

If you’re leaving, nothing to lose! I’m tired of the awful people we work with. If we stay silent, they’re going to continue to get away with it. By speaking up, you can at least say you tried!

like

If your leaving make it known during you exit interview or on your last day. There is a good chance they are aware and just don’t care but they could be oblivious.

like

No. Either sit back and ride out the painful manager OR move on. They know…

like

I wouldn’t mention anything negative in your exit interview either if you ever want to go back.

like

I did this when I left my last job but didn’t think it really made a difference!

like

No. They don’t care.

Upper management won’t care about what you or any of the other peasants have to say. Often, they are part of the problem because they are aware and allow it.

They know

I know this is opposite to what's being said, but I'm a big fan of outing someone who is causing friction in a workplace culture by creating a toxic environment, mainly so that people that come after me are not subject to the same toxicity.
If they offer an exit interview, you can put this point across in a way that doesn't look bitchy, by focussing on company values and communication style. If you've some specific examples, give them within the context of the companies own framework (their values etc), and you'll be fine and come off as professional.

Make sure when you leave you don’t burn any bridges, they’ll figure it out themselves once everyone has left

If the place has quality for you, don't burn bridges. If its not a bridge for you and just a slippery slope; do what you want.

I’ve been leading a massive project by myself for the last year almost and my boss torpedoed my last round of meetings: “oh we don’t need to socialize this, I’ve been doing it, let’s just kick it off.” Okay. So turns out, no one fucking knew and now because we had one meeting instead of two, the people we met with aren’t even the ones doing the work, and they’re not telling the ones who are supposed to do the work about it. So I now need to go back and do more meetings.

Hello Bengaluru people,

I have same CTC offers from pune as well as from Bengaluru.
Bengaluru company job profile seems more better and Pune company job profile seems less better.

I'm worried about food in Bengaluru that will I get the good North Indian food daily. I don't like rice and south Indian food. I mostly eat chapati and all spicy north Indian thing.

Pune Seems better in terms of food and money. Should I come to Bangalore or not that's the point.
