6 months ago the woman I love left me after 6 years (pre McK) and I don’t think I’ll be able to recover. I absolutely love my job and it’s the only sense of comfort I have - but I finally realize that happiness truly come from factors outside professional success (atleast in my case)
Idk what makes it so difficult: we never fought, we had everything we ever wanted ($ wise), each family loved each other like their own- hope I eventually recover

It's been a very long week 😔. I'm done and logging off early today.

I had a stellar annual review! However, I was advised not to expect a raise since I got a promotion a few months ago that bumped my income substantially. Thoughts??

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

Hello everyone I live in Chicago. I have been teaching Preschool for over 15 years. I have a Bachelor’s in ECE, credential 5 with gateway. Now I work as a kindergarten Specialist. I wanted to relocate to some place warm, that has no problem with paying their staff. I am well rounded and have a lot of knowledge and experience. Any tips or suggestions.

but i want to work in Java development and I have learned spring mvc, spring boot and I have good knowledge on core java, collections

Will be it be good decision to directly get a job as a experienced candidate by telling I have experience on Java(2years)
or
I shouldn't lie about my prior experience on oracle .

How long did it take you to find a new job and for what level?

Trying to move to DC Nov. 1st and I know no one nor do I know any areas (NYC real estate is too crazy and it’s time for a change). Where should a 25 year old woman live? My job is remote so I want an area that isn’t too closed off so I have an easier time meeting people. Additionally, any advice in that department is welcome! Budget 1500 for a studio.
