Oh so true! The DOE hasn't been for the benefit of students, families,or teachers for a long time.
Well, he also hired Betsy DeVoss and she was for taking yer rifle to school cuz yeh might need to shoot a bear on the way…his little press secretary waving receipts in the air at a press conference stating evidence of fraud….seriously? More like evidence of stuff nobody takes time to research or understand so “we don’t like it, and it doesn’t line up with this administration’s beliefs.” So let’s hire a teenager and go after Section 504 now…the headlines. Killing me…Trump threatens…Musk threatens…why is everything a threat? And their supporters are like “You GO Boys,” until Lord save us all, their jobs get axed. I wish I had a more business-like mind. Maybe then I would understand what is happening better. Or maybe Trump really does want an unemployed country, begging at his feet for an allowance? Gosh! This stuff is eating me alive. I need to see the end result so I can have a whole picture, but I’m not sure there is one.

I agree with her viewpoint on school choice and career training, but I’m still concerned about how she plans to address the day-to-day challenges teachers face in the classroom. I think we need someone with a bit more hands-on experience in education to truly make a difference.

I would say THIS is the MOST Donald TRump definition of DEI cabinet (?) in the American memory because NONE of these picks is highly qualified at ANYTHING except kissing the ring of loyalty to the man who would be king. ALL will pay for the choice made November 5, 2024.
Well the USA was #1 in education internationally in the 60’s and 70’s. In 1980 the federal dept of education was created and now the US is 41st. This system has NEVER worked. Goodbye!

Been there. Done that. Probably will do it again. But I'm still insulted at the way education is viewed. Especially by this administration.

I think the rest of the world has been laughing at is for a long time. It's probably not going to change as long as fools are in control (I'm not talking about our presidential administration)
Test scores will not automatically go up just because the DOE is abolished. Low test scores are due to a myriad of factors. Let’s not kid ourselves.
