Got the following offers on the table: 1. Big 4 - Manager, $180k + $20k sign on, told a good expectation is 12-15% bonus next year. 1.5% 401k match and 3% pension contribution. First year cash would be around $225k 2. New, well funded advisory arm of an established business - Engagement manager, $210k, 20-25% bonus. 2.5% 401k match. First year cash closer to $250k Big 4 is a defined path with history, reputation, and exits. Other place is largely unknown but a lot of comp. What do you think?
Job opportunity: we’re seeking a Digital Engagement Manager to join our team. It’s an interesting role that is a hybrid of digital strategy/planner and account/project management. HCP healthcare experience is a must and greater NYC area based (remote right now of course). Please message me if interested or know anyone else who would be.
Could someone at McKinsey explain this? My understanding is that the hierarchy at McKinsey goes from Junior Associate to Associate to Engagement Manager to Associate Partner and finally Partner. On the McKinsey career site, I see several position advertised as Consultant ("implementation consultant", "Healthcare Consultant"). Are these contract-based temporary roles? Or do these positions align more to an Engagement Manager level?

First person in my family to have a corporate job so I don’t have anyone to ask these questions. I’m wondering how much I should put into my Roth 401K? I currently have it set for 18% of my monthly paycheck. Is this enough? I’m 23 years old, first year on the job. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you
Just switched jobs. Old 401k has more than $5k and new 401k is with a different provider. Is there any reason whatsoever to move the old 401k cash anywhere, either to the new 401k or to an IRA? Given that it's more than $5k, it can stay there indefinitely, right? I'm fine with the investment options with my old 401k. And I can transfer it over to a new IRA or new 401k anytime, even years in the future, right? Given that no distribution will come to force the 60 day rule?
Anyone have any good educational materials for participants in a 401k that you provide education for? Thanks

Have any of you quit to take a break - 3 month or a 6 month sabbatical to pursue other interests or just to clear your head and figure out what’s next. How easy was it to find a job after the break and how did you manage your health insurance? Any other things to keep in mind when considering a sabbatical beyond money?
Smart agencies: this grand WFH experiment worked and has many benefits for our employees! We should offer flexibility now and in the future. Dumb agencies: we’ll ignore the wants of our employees, as the best thing for The Agency is to force people back in the office as soon as we aren’t going to be sued. Butts in seats 5 days a week! Where ya think talent will go?
Any Deloitters can share a little bit on how the pension works? From what I see 401k is 25% match of 6% of salary. Then pension is 1.5% of base?

Heard a lot about how EY's bonuses were unusually low this year. How are raises and bonuses usually, specifically at the experienced senior and manager levels? As someone joining in a few weeks, would be nice to have some hope for next comp cycle 😁

When you see “note: Public Sector staff are not eligible for these new benefits” at the bottom of the new parental leave policy email

Hi! Moving advice time :) Moving to DMV in summer to start a new role in Gaithersburg. Car required to commute once team returns to in-person work 3-4x a week. Hoping to live in/around DC, at least near a Metro stop. Will be renting for near-term. Would like to stay under $3500/mo for 2bd2bth. Thinking about Bethesda right now - like the area, and probably the best place to commute from without going further out to Rockville. Any other areas with similar atmospheres I should consider? Ty!
